Chin lipofilling

Lipofilling is used if it is necessary to eliminate minor cosmetic defects and improve aesthetic proportions.

The main advantage of lipofilling is that not artificial gels are used, but your own fat. Allergic reactions are excluded. The operation is low-traumatic and lasts about 30–40 minutes.

Important: a loss of 10 to 30% of the injected fat is normal. The volume of absorbed tissue can be assessed several weeks after surgery.

Augmentation with fillers

Chin augmentation with gel is performed using fillers based on hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxypatite.

The undoubted advantage of contour plastic surgery is its immediate effect and duration of only about 30 minutes. The result is not “eternal”; the acid is gradually eliminated from the body naturally. If the recommendations are followed, the period is 18 months or more, depending on the individual characteristics and the chosen gel.

Chin contouring with gel takes 20-30 minutes – the duration depends mainly on the volume of intervention. Correction with fillers is performed by injection. The treated area is pre-coated with an anesthetic cream to make the procedure as comfortable and completely painless as possible.

Chin augmentation with an implant

Another way to correct the chin is to install a special chin implant or perform augmentation mentoplasty. Silicone or cartilage facial implants are commonly used. The operation is usually performed with intravenous anesthesia and lasts from 40 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the type of intervention. Upon completion, a compression bandage is attached and must be worn for a week.

Immediately after the procedure, swelling will appear and will last for several days. Hematomas at puncture sites are also possible. These are normal phenomena and do not indicate any complications. Basic recommendations:

Avoid pressure and any mechanical impact on the lipofilling area.
Maintain a stable weight.
Do not visit the bathhouse, sauna, or sunbathe.
Avoid heavy lifting and physical activity.
Include foods rich in polyunsaturated fats in your diet. These are fatty fish, nuts, olive oil, cottage cheese and sour cream with high fat content.
