Progress of the operation

On the day of surgery, the patient is photographed in standard positions: frontal, half-profile and profile on both sides. The boundaries of the images start from the collarbone to the navel.
- After applying the preoperative markings, additional photographs are taken covering all donor and recipient areas.
- Fat grafting or breast augmentation with your own fat is always performed under general anesthesia. In most cases, combined inhalation and intravenous anesthesia is used.
- Initially, the surgeon’s work is carried out in the area from which the fatty material is supposed to be removed.
- After collection, the fat is purified.
- The donor tissue is introduced through small cannulas about 2 mm in size.
The duration of the operation averages from 3 to 4 hours and depends on the number of donor areas that need to be treated.
Rehabilitation
After lipofilling of the mammary glands, it is recommended to wear compression garments for 4-6 weeks. It will provide uniform compression of injured tissues, prevent the spread of swelling and reduce discomfort in the postoperative period. There is no need to wear compression garments on the chest area.
We recommend that all patients limit heavy physical activity (active sports, visiting gyms, etc.) for 2 months after surgery.
Do not heat the lipofilling or liposuction area. In the first case, this will increase the percentage of fat resorption, in the second – swelling. It is better to avoid hot baths, saunas, steam baths and relaxation in hot climates for a while.
