Operation Bullhorn

During cheiloplasty, a specialist removes a strip of skin adjacent to the base of the nose. The excised flap is shaped like the horns of a bull. That is why the operation is called “bulhorn”, which translated from English means “bull horns”.

Once a 4 to 8 mm wide wavy strip of skin has been excised, the incision is sutured. As a result of such manipulations, the red border of the lips is slightly turned outward, and the skin part separating it from the nose is reduced. In most cases, local anesthesia is sufficient for the operation. All the doctor’s manipulations will not take more than 40 minutes. If indicated, it is supplemented with DAO resection, VY-plasty, and corner lift.

As a result of the operation, the upper lip becomes more expressive and sensual, the smile becomes sweet and seductive. Bullhorn allows you to give your face an expression characteristic of youth.

Rehabilitation

Swelling and small bruises may persist for two weeks after surgery. At the end of this period, there will not even be memories left of the discomfort and traces of the intervention.

In the first week, you need to follow simple recommendations: do not eat very hot or very cold food, avoid visiting the sauna, solarium, and do not be in direct sunlight.

After the stitches are removed (7-12 days), the restrictions become less severe. The final result is assessed after 1-2 months.
