Indications for mastopexy surgery

  • Ptosis of the mammary glands, loss of elasticity.
  • Deterioration in shape and loss of breast fullness after childbirth and breastfeeding.
  • Age-related changes.
  • Tubular breast.
  • Asymmetry.
  • Saggy breasts.

Contraindications

  • Cysts, scars.
  • Blood clotting disorders.
  • Infections.
  • Oncological diseases.
  • Diabetes.
  • Pregnancy and lactation.
  • Pathologies of the central nervous system.
  • Age up to 18 years.

The reasons can be very different, as well as age, lifestyle, presence of children and other factors. However, all women have one thing in common: the desire to change, to become a new, improved version of themselves. The clinic’s surgeons are ready to help, provided that there are no contraindications to mammoplasty.

Circular (periareolar) lift

Periareolar mastopexy involves an incision along the edge of the areola. Optimal for correction of stage I breast ptosis.

This technique will also help reduce the size of the areolas, if necessary.

The plastic surgeon makes an incision around the areola and then removes excess skin without affecting the glandular tissue. If there is a large amount of excess skin, this technique is not used.

Vertical lift

For grade II ptosis, vertical mastopexy is preferred. The incision is made around the areola and extends down to the fold under the mammary gland. Excess skin around the perimeter of the areola and below the level of the nipple is removed. Vertical scars experience virtually no stress, which allows them to heal quickly and disappear almost without a trace over time.

Inverted T-lift

Severe ptosis of the mammary glands is associated with significant excess stretched skin – a reason to use anchor or T-shaped mastopexy. It allows you to effectively get rid of excess skin, leaving neat and thin seams.

Rehabilitation

After mastopexy, the patient remains in the clinic under observation for 24 hours, after which she can return home. Next, you only need to visit a doctor for routine examinations and dressings.

In the first days after mammoplasty, discomfort, moderate pain, swelling and bruising in the operated area are likely. Lumps in the breast, changes (increase or decrease) in the sensitivity of the nipples are phenomena that will disappear after 3 – 4 weeks.

It is recommended to wear compression garments for 1-1.5 months. In the first weeks after mastopexy, you should not exercise, go to the bathhouse, sauna, or solarium.
